On June 25th there was another Ice Cream Social at the grand re-opening of  Minnetonka's Historic Burwell House. Dozens of people enjoyed a tour of the house which has been completely renovated since the fire in December 1999. Many families participated in a parade from the old Minnetonka Town Hall across Minnehaha Creek to the Burwell House. Ice Cream, hot dogs, lemonade and pie were served and old time entertainment was provided by the Medicine Show. For the children there was a puppet show and the Hopkins Orchestra played their traditional musical concert. The Minnetonka Historical Society had some historical displays in the Carriage House.

Tours of the Burwell House are also every Tuesday and Saturday afternoon.	Mayor Karen Anderson spoke to the audience.	Mary Smith (seated) toured her old house. She is the last serviving previous resident.	Puppet Show
